If you’ve driven by historic Sarasota High School, the future home of the Sarasota Museum of Art (SMOA) at all during the past week, you may have noticed that the activity taking place on the front lawn seems a little … twisted.

This month, T.E.O.T.D.T.R.E.C.M.B.B. will turn down the amps as it migrates from the bar to the art gallery for the project’s first retrospective art show, which opens at Clothesline Gallery & Boutique on Jan. 15.

Since opening its doors at the corner of downtown Sarasota’s “Gallery Row” in November of last year, Palm Avenue Fine Art has quickly established itself as a cornerstone of fine arts on Florida’s Gulf Coast and is highly lauded for its extensive collection of work from both established and emerging artists.

The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art unveils its latest exhibition, Paolo Veronese: A Master and His Workshop in Renaissance Venice, to the public today. Stepping through the threshold of the museum’s Searing Wing feels like walking into a visual banquet hall, where only the most decadent and sumptuous of delicacies hang on display for the eyes’ consumption.

The Sarasota Blues Festival returned to Sarasota for its 22nd year and rocked the crowd at Ed Smith Stadium in its typical rambunctious fashion on Saturday. Check out the exclusive TWIS photo gallery from this year’s festival.
