The past few days of Suncoast Super Boat Grand Prix events have been successful at raising money for Suncoast Charities for Children and bringing our community together. On Thursday night the Hyatt Regency’s “Pre-Race” Party and Fashion Show brought out Sarasota for casino games, fashion and local music. The Sarasota crowd does “cocktail casual” better than anywhere south of Charleston, with the crowd decked in summery dresses and a few nautical-themed outfits. I’m so excited to take in all the awesome happenings for Super Boat weekend … but if I can, I’ll be saving an hour here or there to check out some artisan chocolate and bubbly, local art, some sizzlin’ burlesque and flash mobs on the beach! The wet weather of the past few days has been making me even more excited to get out of the house and to the Suncoast Super Boat Grand Prix events held throughout the weekend. Today on Wednesday, July 27 there are two events where you can see the boats and meet the teams racing this weekend.
